  Chocolate Macadamia Tart

Dough:
1 and 1/3 cup all purpose flour
3 tbsp. sugar
8 oz. unsalted margarine or butter, cold and cut into cubes.
1 large egg plus 3 tbsp milk

Process the flour and sugar. Add the butter until the mixture is crumbly. Add the egg and milk mixture and process until it forms a ball. Wrap and chill for 1 hour or overnight.

Roll out on floured surface and place into a 10 inch removable bottom tart pan. Chill while you prepare the filling.

Preheat oven to 350.
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup Karo light corn syrup
3 tbsp. margarine or butter
1 tbsp. instant espresso granules

Blend these ingredients in a saucepan or a skillet and bring to a boil, stir until sugar is melted. Remove from heat. Off the heat, add 2 cups unsalted macadamia nuts. Add 3 large eggs at room temperature to the above mixture with a whisk. Remove dough from fridge and sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips to dough. Pour the macadamia mixture over the chocolate and place in the center of the oven. Bake until golden and set approximately 5 minutes. Remove from oven, let cool and unmold. Serve at room temperature. Serves 8-10.
